About the Author
Shelly was born into a horse legacy spanning generations. She grew up riding before she could walk. Her family bred and raised a small herd of horses. Together with her older brother Dale, he developed and patented the Cloverleaf Bitless Bridle, and its training and use system which is laid out in the book Secrets That Tame the Wild Ones authored by L. Dale Watkins. Although her father and brother have passed, their legacy lives on in Shellys skill and knowledge that was taught to her by these great horsemen. She uses the Cloverleaf Bitless Bridle system in her training program. Another of her older brothers, Tom Watkins, still custom manufactures a limited number of the bridles. Shelly has overcome several serious and debilitating accidents. She was told on more than one occasion she would likely never ride again and would certainly never compete at a pro level again. Shellys mentally tough strategies brought her back from the depth of despair, and devastating injuries to once again compete as a professional. Shelly holds a Bachelors degree in Nursing Science from the University of Utah, a Masters of Nursing Science degree from Grand Canyon University and is a certified Sports Hypnotist. She taught as an adjunct nursing professor at Mohave Community College and has spent more than 20 years caring for patients in the fields of geriatrics, hospice, and oncology. Her nursing work with cancer patients has given her great insight into the healing power of the mind. She has incorporated eastern healing techniques that utilize the powerful mind-body connection in her nursing and personal practices. She has studied and practiced intentional creation and manifestation for more than 25 years and has been a personal witness to miraculous events brought about by the power of belief Says Shelly, Horses hold a profound healing power for me. I think this will become my most used manual with clients. It is both clearly written but also covers a lot of material. I like how the authors have categories of different kinds of protectors and how to work with them. The book provides language and insight to experiences I have had with clients that I could not understand previously.
Drs. Anderson and Schwartz are both brilliant!! I've seen both present this material and it's now my 'go to' modality when helping clients.. I love that they nonpathologize DSM diagnoses. Being a trauma therapist, my goal is to HEAL, not just help clients 'feel better.' With IFS, it is possible to heal wounds trapped in the nervous system making our lives and relationships broken messes. If you're ready to heal your "negative" thoughts, feelings, relationships, etc. please go to selfleadership.org and find an IFS therapist. Definitely read this first as a primer to see what wonderful healing you are in for!
Very clearly written - very accessible. Great examples. Points out the importance of making sure the burdened parts in us learn there is a Self and they can connect to it. Doesn’t remind us that we also have never burdened parts.
It is not about families (mom, dad etc..) it is about the "family" in just YOU, all your different personalities and how they act/interact (interesting I am sure) but not what I was looking for, I returned it. I gave it five stars because it seems like a nice book but after reading a few pages I could see it was not what I was looking for and stopped.
This is an extraordinarily comprehensive and useful book covering every aspect of IFS the reader could possibly want. It is organized beautifully, visits every aspect of IFS a client or therapist might be interested in learning more about. Remarkably, it is as helpful to clients as to practitioners.The authors provide contact information for each IFS therapist who has written about a particular topic so that the reader has access to experts on a multitude of topics including eating disorders, alcohol and drugs, pornography, creativity, health coaching and more.This is a gem of a book!
I enjoy that there are many examples of a therapist speaking with a client about different situations (buying into IFS, accessing parts, flushing parts out, etc). For anyone engaging in complex trauma work or perhaps someone that believes that they have elements of dissociative identity, this is a great book for utilizing an evidence-based practice that can lead to long-term and sustainable results with clients.

Wow! Another great read from Elliee Atkinson! Bobby and Tommy arrive in Ely badly wounded; Polly and her father work to help them. However, they are on the run...This story shows is that things are not always as they seem - and neither are people! The author writes a good old fashioned Western story complete with outlaws and clean romance. She shows us the town, the people, and the situation as it unfolds. It's nice to read this type of story!Read this story! You will enjoy it if you like a good old fashioned story. I can't wait for her next book!
This book will keep you both turning pages and on the edge of your seat to see what is going to happen. A well written book that I would recommend.
I received this as an ARC book, and am not obligated to post a review for this book. The review and opinions expressed are my own.Polly and her father, Doc Baker, were awaken in the middle of the night by two strangers in need of medical attention. They were twin brothers. One was unconscious and the other had been shot through the leg. Doc and Polly took care of the two men. Sheriff Nick Johnson came to the clinic just after the two arrived. He needed to question them. Bobby Elliott, the one shot in the leg felt safe with Polly and told her his story. Next he had to tell the sheriff what had happened and why he and his brother were being hunted down for murder. The sheriff left the men in the care of Doc Baker and went back to the jail to do some investigation on his own. Sheriff Jack Curtis and 3 of his deputies came to Ely the next day. They were the ones chasing the Elliott brothers. Meanwhile, the attraction between Polly and Bobby grew in the few days that she was caring for them. Sheriff Curtis questioned Sheriff Johnson, but couldn’t get information on the brothers. The truth comes to light when Sheriff Curtis shows his hand. Read to find the reasons behind the tragedy that came to the Elliott brothers. Great story of the goodness of people.
Doc Baker is the resident doctor. He is training his daughter to take his place when he is ready to retire. Polly loves her father and enjoys being a beginner doctor. one night she is awakened by thumps and noise. She goes down to her father, he has two patients and needs help. Tommy and Bobby Elliot, are identical twins and they are on the run. They have been accused of murdering Tommy's wife and children. They say they are innocent. Polly finds Bobby is good looking and seems nice.I was pleasantly surprised, this was an amazing book. It was full of action, bad guys and a town full of kind people. Jack Curtis was the sheriff of Dry Gulch, where the boys came from, he was trying to catch them and kill them. This story was fast paced, moved smoothly and was full of action. There are some surprises waiting along the tale. The characters are well developed, likeable and have depth. It keeps your interest and keeps your adrenaline up. I highly reccommend this wonderful book.I received this book from Amazon and voluntarily reviewed it.
In a way it was a lucky day when Bobby and Tommy came to Ely. The twin brothers were on the run for a crime they did not commit. Will the sheriff believe them? Polly the doctor’s daughter helps take care of them. This western romance looks at life for both the twins and Polly with action taken place. You will see what the outcome will be for these three people. Realistic in describing events that occurred I found this book to be a pleasure to read. I highly recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I loved this story! It is a wonderful read with great characters that were very well developed for the reader. Elliee Atkinson grabs you from the very beginning and keeps you turning the pages hoping and praying that all turns out well! Bobby and Tommy are twins on the run from a bad sheriff and his posse who has killed Tommy's wife and children. Polly, the Doctor's daughter, first meets them when Bobby is carrying / dragging Tommy into their clinic, because Tommy is hurt from being thrown from his horse and Bobby has a bullet hole in his leg.I do not like giving away a story, That is in the opening chapter! The story just gets better and has a lot of action and drama and of course suspense as you wonder what will be next! It is also a sweet love story, a book you will truly enjoy.
Can you imagine any man shooting and killing a wifeand mother of two? Tommy lost his family to someruthless killers. His twin Bobby was also devastatedby their murders.Now how are they going to prove it wasn't them whomurdered them? They know who did but who wouldbelieve them against a sheriff?The twins land in Ely and both are hurt. Polly and herfather the doctor do all they can to heal both of them.Bobby and Polly have eyes for each other instantly!Get this wonderful book and read or listen to it so thatyou can find out everything that happens to them, andto Polly. It's absolutely very interesting and exciting.I truly enjoyed the book and I recommend it to everyone!
Redemption For The Future Doctor's Love is another wonderful story set in Ely. This book has great, well-written characters. The people in Ely care for each other. They take the time to evaluate things rather than just believing anything they are told. Ms. Atkinson has outdone herself in writing her villain, Jack Curtis. There is a lot of drama in this fast paced story. If you are looking for an escape to the old west, I highly recommend this book.

I learned FORTRAN 77 and got 100 in Wuhan University from 1990 to 1991, before I learned C, C++, Java, Perl, and a couple of other languages. I have not used FORTRAN 77 for the past 27 years since the Numerical Recipe offers both FORTRAN and C versions and more people prefer the C version. But my engineering friend recently told me FORTRAN is still the king for engineering programming. Its high performance in matrix operations has never been challenged. So I am picking it up now.
This is a good resource manual for Fortran code builders. It has the basic resources that define Fortran concepts and syntax. No programming book can address specific problems you might be working with in code design, but the better books give you the foundations and tips necessary to keep you on track when using the language. I have found this manual helpful as it helps build code that will compile under all later version compilers.
It's a great book for a quick review of the basics or for someone already experienced in C who needs to, for whatever reason, start programming in Fortran. I've never seriously coded in Fortran before but needed to get up to speed with it. Schaum's Oulines for F77 was a great way to gear up in less than a week and start contributing to the existing code base. Highly recommend this book exactly for that purpose. Also, make sure you don't skip over the Solved Problems section as you could potentially pick up a few tricks from the provided solutions.

well what can i say about one of the most preferred series for programming. this one is a real wacko 'cause it not only assumes your programming backgrond to be nill from starting therefore helping you to start off instantaneously. what i also liked about this book was the fact that the codes associated with the problems give one enough hands on experience so that one can tackle small scale problems very confidently.. i am sure that this book will prove to be a great help for all those who are looking for a very clear and intutive book for starting off learning Fortran 77
This is a very good book for those who does not know programming with fortran 77 but would like to learn it in a relatively short period of time. It is also a good reference for those who writes fortran 77 codes and in need of a source to have a quick look at programming rules and examples. I used this book to write codes for my simulations in my PhD study. I recommend it.
For Fortran beginners this would be a good friend of yours but using it with other books such as Introduction to Fortran or other published tutorials on the web would put the icing to the cake.I recommend 'Interractive fortran 77- A hands on Approach' by Ian D Chivers et al.-which is also an online book to supplement this book.In that way you will be kickin' some fortran.
This book provides a basic outline of Fortran 77 for elementary programmers. I was previously only familiar with C++ (only one introductory class). This book helped me learn the basics of Fortran quickly and efficiently, but it does not cover any advanced topics.

I bought this book to research the product, and it is very thorough.One puzzling thing is that a module has been added to Dynamics call "Project Service Automation"This book completely ignores the features of timesheeting, project management, resource allocation etc etcPerhaps this module was added to the product after the book shipped, but it is a bit puzzling why it is missing...I've registered for Updates to see if it gets added in the future (or even mentioned!!)
The book offers a good amount of content. However, I was expecting a little more technical and hands on discussion. I found the material a little high level without details. But, a good read
Based on previous editions/versions of this book, I bought 12 copies of this book to give to my team and received them today.It looks like Marc did a thorough job covering everything that CRM has to offer, and included both the technical limitations related to on premises integration which is key to our systems work.I wouldn't recommend this book for a beginner, but then I wouldn't recommend CRM for a beginner either.
This manual covers the most basic of basic things, but it leaves out a lot of central CRM topics that should be the staples of any CRM manual.

Here is a very helpful reference resource for doing exegesis in relation to prepositions in the Greek New Testament. Harris is honing in on the different meanings and usages of Greek prepositions in order to grasp the meaning of the original text in the light of the original text's prepositions. After an introduction in chapter one and an explanation of what he calls "the distinctive features of prepositional usage in New Testament Greek," he devotes a chapter (3) to five dangers of drawing out the meaning (the true purpose of exegesis) on the basis of prepositional usage alone.The remainder of the book dedicates itself to 17 "proper" and 42 "improper" prepositions. The value of this work is found in the examples drawn from the Greek text. Also the index of biblical references permits looking up any given preposition when doing exegesis. For example, I found his analysis of the uses of anti and huper to be solid and balanced. He clearly points out that anti has "substitionary significance" (54) in Mark 10:45 and references three major scholarly articles from other works. His analysis of huper comes up with a representative and substitionary meaning in 2 Cor 5:14 and Gal 3:13. Some scholars may question the idea of a dual meaning but they will need to wrestle with Harris's analysis.No serious Greek scholar should or could work without taking into account the help found in this reference aid to serious exegesis. Harris has a reputation for being a thorough exegete.
I would pay my tribute to the author for writing this book. From reading a few of his discussed exegesis, I was led into prayer.The title is unique and the book makes exclusive discussions on prepositions of biblical Greek. The book adopts a pretty neat approach in treating the prepositions, covering 17 proper and 42 improper prepositions. Each proper preposition is covered by one chapter to discuss and illustrate its meaning and usage. Where the meaning and usage of a Greek preposition is confusing due to its translation into English, it is discussed and compared with the related Greek preposition. That is most useful! Take for example, the use of "ek" along with "eis" is discussed and illustrated with the well debated Roman 1:16 on pages 107-108. The ambiguity of the meaning of "eis" is discussed in pages 101-102. A comparison on "eis" in relation to "en" is given under pages 84-88. Discussion on the ranges of meaning of "en Christo" as used by Paul is given in pages 122-128. Each of these discussions has helped to reveal the whole range of meanings in the used verse, helping the reader to think more deeply and search for the range of meanings.In some of the chapters, notable instances of particular usage of a particular preposition were discussed and argued in details to cross examine variant translations of a quoted verse or verses. That is most enlightening! On the other hand, two important constructions using "epi" was discussed using Roman 5:12 and 2 Corinthian 5:4. The first cannot be missed. Many of these passages were great lessons on exegesis.The book runs the risk of being criticized to be too insightful. See for example its discussion on 1 Peter 2:24a in page 144 under the chapter on "epi". The author preferred to translate the verse as "He himself, in his own body, carried our sins up on to the cross.". Like each of the other discussed passages, he has based his arguments with careful explanation and support both grammatically and from the context.Exegesis often rest on or end with debate on "the genitive case", "article" and "preposition". This book has a lot to offer on preposition.
Very disappointing book, though the title should clue in students of NT Greek that an author's theology is about to be imposed onto the grammar. I have found that it is necessary to seek out the old writings, the scholars of the late 1800s and early 1900s in order to find some measure of objectivity and faithfulness to the grammar itself. Credentialed authors (PhD) are abundant today, and unfortunately too many have allowed their personally-held theologies to impose onto the grammar of the NT instead of allowing the grammar alone to speak for itself. Given the vast amounts of classical and koine Greek material available, the meanings and usage of prepositions in the NT, in the 1st century, etc. are well known and established by the old authors. If you are interested in objectivity, seek out the older authors who focused on the grammar and avoided introducing their own personal theologies.
