I get this book from Amazon. It’s about eating whole foods which are as close to their unadulterated state as possible, just like nature intended. The Keto diet is NOT about depriving yourself or limiting your food intake in any way. Although I don’t plan to get too much into the science of the Keto diet, there are a few core principles you should know about. The Keto diet was invented by Dr. Russel Wilder, MD of the Mayo Clinic in 1921 as a way to treat epilepsy. It worked! On the diet, you’ll strictly control your carb intake so you can enter into a state called ‘Ketosis’. This is the point when your body switching from using carbs for energy to fat. It’s when the magic happens! For best results, keep your net carbs to under 20g per day (although a more conservative aim would be around 50g) It’s all about ensuring you have a good intake of healthy fats to keep yourself adequately fueled and healthy. Expect to eat around 70-80% fat, 25% protein, and 5% carbs. If you’re getting sick of eating meat, you can turn to eggs and dairy to keep your protein high and save money at the same time. When I decided to start ketogenics I bought a general book plus three cookbooks. This book was the smallest of the three cookbooks but easily the most useful.The recipes themselves are divided into smoothies and breakfasts, appetizers and snacks, fish and poultry, meats, veggies and sides, desserts, and staples. Each individual recipe gives an overall "keto quotient" (how close it fits the idea balance of fats, carbs, and protein) as well as what each serving contains in calories and the fats, carbs, and protein for those servings. This makes life a lot easier if you are using a phone or tablet app to keep an eating record.Recipes include items like homemade salad dressings and mayonnaise in a good keto balance. Since I'm eating a lot more salad this has been handy to have. I also thought I would miss sweets but I've been using the book to make snacks with stevia products. There are some chocolate recipes using cocoa powder and oils that help stifle any chocolate cravings. The oils often melt at a little above room temperature so I put chocolate pieces in bags in the freezer and granola in the fridge in snack bags.I have yet to find a recipe that didn't turn out well, though my tastebuds like a little more salt. Better to add it in later because you can't take it out once it's cooked. The only bad turnout I had was my mistake, assuming that coconut flour would substitute for almond flour. It won't.There's a wide variety of tastes to help you learn your way through adapting the lifestyle to your tastes.

Makes it a little easier knowing that the ingredients are easily accessible and where to purchase them. I was able to find most of the ingredients with no problem at all. Which is always a plus when following a healthy eating plan.

This book is filled with great recipes whether you want a snack, meal, or a great dessert and it is well researched and very informative and i attempted the primary formula and it's tasty: heaps of flavors and incredible fixings and I always like trying new healthy delicious things and it was recommended this book from a friend of mine and fiance and I really enjoy all recipes inside the book and from this book you will learn about what the ketogenic diet and why it works and what to eat when you're trying to do keto and important information for eating out on keto as well as how to make it work and avoid taking a cheat day just because of a special occasion and much more.

The recipes are fairly simple and I appreciated the 28 days meal plan. I found it informative and I liked that it talked about the side effects (good and bad) of the diet but I think that the physical book is needed for the recipes. They sound delicious and I may have to spring for it.

This book is what I have been looking for long time, the strict and easy to follow keto meal plan, as this is always hard to make plan by yourself thats why I was looking for such book that can be my guide while I am keeping my keto diet. It is very informative book. If you want to burn fat forever and quickly weight loss, then this book is for you. It is well written and easy to understand. Highly recommended.
